| Georgian Lady £55 One of the rages during Georgian times was to dress like a shepherdess. This ladys underskirt is of heavy quilted cotton. The full overskirt in a pretty pastoral printed cotton is worn bunched up and trimmed with ribbons. The well fitted bodice is in the same material as the overskirt and the sleeves are trimmed with gathered lace. Her fichu is of very fine cotton and is decorated at the front with a silk rose. Her hair in the georgian upswept style with lots of padding and rolls is unpowdered. She wears a simple chip straw hat with velvet ribbon bow and tiny flower decoration. |
